Even as many times as I have explored the back roads and lanes around the area near my home & studio I find it is an unending resource of painting material.   With each season, or different time of day, or different weather conditions, you can always find something new to paint.  On this sunny, but cold winter morning I meandered down this little trail just after our last snow fall when I come to an opening in the woods where I could see the field and cozy farm house in the distance along the Nineveh Road. It immediately reminded me of the words in the Christmas song, "Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother"s house we go . . ." So, I had the title . . . I had the reference . . . off to my studio I go.
